As a mixed methods research trainee, I became very frustrated with the qualitative research concept of saturation. My research on this topic led me to a paper by Lowe and colleagues in 2018, which uses a mathematical model developed by that research team to calculate how may interviews need to be conducted to reach saturation. This Notion workspace overviews my efforts to take their model and create ready-for-use spreadsheets to calculate saturation. This work was presented at the 2019 Qualitative Health Research conference.
